Rest is part of treatment.
Not a reward. Not a weakness. Not something I have to earn.
Rest is healing.
If my body asks for stillness, I will not argue with it.
My labs do not define me.
They guide the doctors. They inform decisions.
But they do not measure my courage.
They do not measure my faith.
They do not measure who I am becoming.
A setback is not a failure.
Treatment moves in waves. Some days forward. Some days adjusting.
A change in numbers does not erase my strength.
It simply means we pivot.
I deserve to be heard.
If something feels off, I will speak.
If I am tired, I will say so.
If I am afraid, I will not silence myself.
My voice belongs in the room.
It is okay to ask for help.
Strength does not mean doing everything alone.
Help may look like a ride, a meal, a prayer, a quiet presence.
I do not have to carry this without support.
Small steps still count.
Getting up.
Making the appointment.
Taking the medication.
Breathing through the anxiety.
Small does not mean insignificant.
I am more than my diagnosis.
Cancer is part of my story.
It is not the whole book.
I am still me. Still layered. Still dreaming.
You are stronger than you think.
On the days when I forget, I will remind myself.
Strength is not always loud. Sometimes it is simply continuing.
You are enough.
Even here.
Even tired.
Even uncertain.
Even healing.
And through all of it, one truth remains.
Joy is still mine.
Not because everything is easy.
Not because there are no hard days.
But because my spirit is not owned by my diagnosis.
Joy is still mine.
